Bertina Busch

Trustee | Former President | Community Leader

Bertina Busch is a longtime civic leader and trusted voice in the Pine Hills community, with more than 25 years of dedicated service to the Pine Hills Community Council. Over the course of her tenure, she has served in numerous leadership roles including multiple terms as President, Trustee, and Corresponding Secretary, contributing significantly to the Council’s stability, growth, and community impact.

Ms. Busch is the former Editor and Publisher of the Pine Hills Press, which she founded in 1995 and later evolved into what is now known as the Midtown Press. Her commitment to informed and engaged communities extends to her service on several local boards and advisory bodies, including the Evans High School Community School Advisory Council, Pine Hills Seniors, Pine Hills Safe Neighborhood Partnership, and other neighborhood initiatives.

Professionally, Ms. Busch is a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration. She is an accomplished grant writer, a public speaker, and an officer in family-owned businesses. Her leadership and service have been recognized with the Orange County Excellence in Leadership Award (2010) and the Pine Hills Neighborhood Improvement District Pillar Award (2015).

Ms. Busch is deeply engaged in faith-based service, having served her church as an elementary school teacher, choir director, and catechetical instructor, and remains active in Orthodox Christian ministry. She and her husband are the proud parents of five children and grandparents to eleven.
