Carl Battle

Carl Battle, a respected community leader, mentor, and advocate for youth empowerment in Central Florida, serves as the Director-At-Large for the Pine Hills Community Council. He has been a board member for three years and has made significant contributions to the community.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Carl Battle’s life and career are a testament to his deep commitment to service, resilience, and leadership. He graduated from Germantown High School and later pursued a diverse professional background. For eight years, he worked as an educator, gaining valuable insights into the field. Additionally, he honed his culinary skills as a sous chef at renowned establishments like the Marriott World Center and Wolfgang Puck restaurants. These experiences instilled in him a strong work ethic and a people-centered leadership approach.

For more than twenty years, Carl has dedicated himself to supporting at-risk youth in the 32808, 32811, and 32805 communities. He is currently Assistant Pastor at Harvest Baptist Church and has previously served the congregation as a youth pastor, an Orange County community service liaison, and an OAG Program Coordinator with the Central Florida Urban League, consistently working to connect young people with resources, guidance, and opportunity. His work is grounded in the belief that early intervention, mentorship, and access can meaningfully change the trajectory of a young person’s life.

As a father of three and a proud grandfather, Carl brings both professional insight and lived experience to his mentorship and leadership. He serves as a board member of the United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc., where he actively supports the Future Leaders United After-School Enrichment and Mentoring Program. Through this work, he helps guide youth through leadership development, life skills training, and community-based support initiatives. Carl is widely recognized for his steady presence, compassion, and enduring commitment to helping young people lead fulfilling and purpose-driven lives, including being honored in 2024 with the Sekou Clarke Law Group Leadership & Excellence Award. He also received an appreciation award from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for his role in facilitating community forums that brought residents and law enforcement together, helping build trust, strengthen relationships, and remove longstanding barriers.
